DHCP – Bootp (Bootstrap Protocol)
DHCP uses Bootp protocol to automatically assign IP to any networking device.
When the devices is powered on and boots, it send the broadcast message to receive an IP from the DHCP server.
Then Bootp Server (DHCP Server) will assign the IP from its pool to DHCP client.
As studied in previous slide, this process is done through UDP ports 67 & 68.
